One of Steven Gerrard's final acts as a Liverpool player was perhaps the most poignant as he made an already special day for the club's U9s truly memorable.
As the group of boys arrived at Anfield to sign their very first contract for the club, the captain arrived unannounced to help them put pen to paper and commit their future to the Reds.
Together with Academy director Alex Inglethorpe and his coaches, Gerrard greeted every boy and their families on stage to sign, and welcomed them with a few simple words of advice.
