Liverpool defenders Javier Manquillo and Alberto Moreno visited St Margaret's CE School in Aigburth on Wednesday evening for a Liverpool FC Foundation Respect 4 All session with a group of visually impaired youngsters.

The Spanish full-backs participated in the session, which delivers free, impairment-specific, multi-sport classes to more than 150 children and adults every week.

Classes are held for five nights from Tuesday to Saturday during school term time and cater for children aged between eight and 16, and adults, with severe learning difficulties, visual and physical impairment and wheelchair users.

Manquillo and Moreno participated in a penalty shootout with the attendees before signing autographs for those in attendance.

On the Liverpool FC Foundation scheme, Manquillo commented: "It was fantastic to be able to attend the Respect 4 All session and was brilliant to see the great work being done by the Liverpool FC Foundation in the community.

"The youngsters' enthusiasm and passion for playing football just highlights what a massive impact programmes such as these have on people's lives."

Respect 4 All manager Ryan Moignard added: "Respect 4 All is a brilliant programme which gives visually impaired people an opportunity to play football, which is really satisfying.

"It truly is an honour for all of the Liverpool FC Foundation coaches to work alongside such inspirational people.

"I am thrilled that two of the Liverpool first-team players were able to attend our weekly session to see first-hand what we do. The adults and children were absolutely delighted."
