U21 frustration for Ilori and Ings
It was a frustrating evening for Tiago Ilori and Danny Ings at the U21 European Championship on Wednesday.
Ings, who is set join Liverpool on July 1 after his contract with Burnley has expired, started for England against Italy.
The striker played the full game too but a 3-1 reversal meant the Three Lions were consigned to the bottom of Group B and therefore elimination from the tournament.
Ilori, meanwhile, was forced to leave the field with an injury after 29 minutes of Portugal's clash with Sweden in the same section.
The two teams traded a late goal apiece and drew 1-1 - a result which saw both countries progress to the semi-finals.
Ilori's Portugal will now meet Emre Can's Germany in the last four on Saturday June 27.
