Jordan Henderson has been delighted with Liverpool's summer transfer business so far and expects the new faces arriving at Anfield to have a 'huge impact' on the club's fortunes.

The Reds announced a sixth deal since the end of the season on Wednesday morning as England international Nathaniel Clyne completed a switch from Southampton.

He followed James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez and Roberto Firmino in agreeing moves to Merseyside ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.

Henderson firmly believes the half-a-dozen fresh additions to the squad can help Brendan Rodgers' side make the desired improvements from August.

"It's a huge boost - all of the signings have been really positive," the midfielder told Liverpoolfc.com.

"I think we've shown good intent early on in the transfer window to go and get the players that we want. They're big players as well, and I'm sure they'll have a huge impact on Liverpool and hopefully this season."
