It was with great sadness yesterday that Liverpool Football Club learned of Brian's death at the age of 68.
The popular midfielder played 224 times for the Reds in a successful eight-year spell up until 1976, before returning to Anfield in 1991 working in the club's PR and Community departments.
In 2008 Brian became the latest in a line of Liverpool greats to visit the LFCTV studios to record a retrospective of their LFC careers in our '60 minutes with...' programme which can be viewed below.
