Philippe Coutinho picked up his 12th cap for Brazil as he appeared as a substitute during his country's 1-0 win over Costa Rica.

The 23-year-old replaced Lucas Lima in the 67th minute of the contest, played at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey, United States.

And he helped Dunga's men see out a friendly victory earned through Hulk's 10th-minute strike.

Coutinho's fellow Reds start Roberto Firmino is in the latest Brazilian squad, though he did not emerge from the bench during Saturday's game.

He will hope to play further minutes for his country when they take on the United States in Massachusetts on Wednesday.
