Liverpool FC showed their support for the Global Goals campaign by wearing the United Nations initiative's logo as they defeated Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday.

During a thrilling Barclays Premier League victory for the Reds, their shirts were dedicated to promoting the aims of ending extreme poverty, fighting inequality and injustice and tackling climate change by 2030, as set out by the Global Goals.

Standard Chartered, the club's main sponsor and a founding partner of the initiative, gave up their place on the front of the Liverpool shirts in order to help raise awareness worldwide.
