Kolo Toure has set his sights on completing a career clean sweep when Liverpool face his former team Manchester City in the Capital One Cup final.

The Ivorian has Barclays Premier League and FA Cup winner's medals from his stints with City and Arsenal, but failed to collect the League Cup with either club.

He has the chance to rectify that on Sunday, as well as pick up his first trophy since making the move to Anfield in the summer of 2013.

And Toure wants to make sure that his record in England shows he found success wherever he went by putting Manuel Pellegrini's men to the sword.

"It's going to be big, massive," the defender told Liverpoolfc.com.

"For sure we want to win this cup, I've never won it.

"As a team we want to win and especially for me because I've won every trophy in the country apart from the League Cup.

"That's a good challenge for me and I want to win it, definitely.

"Wherever I've been we've won trophies and I hope that my third club [Liverpool] will be another club where I'm going to win a trophy again because everywhere I go I want to win - the national team, with Arsenal, Manchester City and now with Liverpool.

"I want to win something for Liverpool, definitely."

The last meeting between the Reds and City ended with Jürgen Klopp's team claiming a memorable 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Toure believes that fixture will have little bearing on the impending Wembley rematch, but has vowed to give his all to inspire a repeat result.

"It's going to be a different game," he added.

"I was not expecting that score when we played against them there.

"It's going to be a different game. But, like I said, it is a final and the team who will want to win on the day, who will be prepared well and who will want to [give everything] for the game is going to win."
