Philippe Coutinho and Simon Mignolet could make landmark Barclays Premier League appearances for Liverpool tonight - find out how with our pre-match stat pack on the clash with Manchester City at Anfield.

Since the inception of the Premier League, Liverpool have won 16 of the 37 meetings, with City winning seven; at Anfield the Reds have won 12, drawn five and lost one of 18.

The Reds’ biggest victory against City at Anfield came in October 1995 when they won 6-0 with Ian Rush (2), Robbie Fowler (2), Jamie Redknapp and Neil Ruddock scoring.

Liverpool have scored in each of the last 21 league clashes at Anfield – the last time they failed to find the net was in a goalless draw in August 1986.

Kolo Toure played 82 times in the league for City, scoring twice in his four seasons at the Etihad Stadium before joining Liverpool in the summer of 2013.

When netting his first goal for Liverpool in the recent win at Aston Villa, Toure became the fourth-oldest scorer for the Reds in the Premier League at the age of 34 years and 332 days. Only Gary McAllister, Sami Hyypia and Steven Gerrard were older. The defender also became the 19th different scorer for Liverpool this season, setting a new club record.

Coutinho has scored five goals against City in his six appearances for the Reds. Should he score this evening, he would become the first Liverpool player since Brian Hall (1972-74) to score in three successive home league clashes with the Citizens.

The Brazilian is one of two Liverpool players who could make their 100th league appearance for the club tonight – the other is Mignolet.

Once before have Liverpool played a team in a league game immediately after facing them in a domestic final. They lost the 2012 FA Cup final to Chelsea, then beat them 4-1 at Anfield three days later.

A Reds victory this evening would be their 1,200th at Anfield in top-flight league football.

City have won only once in their last 24 league visits. That came in May 2003 when Nicolas Anelka scored twice in a 2-1 win. Since that victory, they have lost eight and drawn four of the meetings at Anfield, taking four points from a possible 36.

They have not kept a clean sheet in their last 21 visits and only one in the last 35.

City have lost their last two Premier League games (at home to Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur). They have not lost a third successive league game since November 2008.

They are two goals short of scoring 100 against Liverpool in league visits to Anfield.
