Booking for Bastian Schweinsteiger.

78

It's Philippe Coutinho against David de Gea once more and the United goalkeeper palms over the Brazilian's latest thump from the edge of the area.

75

The Reds break away and there's an opening for Philippe Coutinho to shape a strike at goal, but this time it's a straightforward take for David de Gea.

71

Substitution

Joe Allen is brought on for Jordan Henderson and James Milner takes the armband.

Another change for United as Matteo Darmian comes on for Marcos Rojo.

62

Some outrageous dribbling by Philippe Coutinho creates an opportunity for Daniel Sturridge, who skews wide from a narrowing angle on the right.

57

Half-chance for Marcus Rashford from 20 yards but the striker is off balance and clips it wide. Moments earlier, Mamadou Sakho had stopped him with a critical and inch-perfect challenge.

51

Yellow Card

And now Nathaniel Clyne is booked.

50

Yellow Card

Marouane Fellaini is the latest player to receive a caution.

The contingent of Liverpool fans at Old Trafford have not stopped singing throughout half-time, mostly the name of Philippe Coutinho, and why ever not after that?!

Half Time

Phew! The hosts were threatening to turn the tie around for much of the opening 45 minutes but the magician has flipped it again with that delightful goal. Get in!

PHILIPPE COUTINHO!! More magic from the No.10 as he scampers along the left hand side, approaches the near post and dinks an outstanding strike into the back of the net to put Liverpool firmly in control of the tie again.

42

Yellow Card

Philippe Coutinho is penalised.

41

The Reds should be level as a sublime reverse pass by Philippe Coutinho sets up Jordan Henderson 10 yards out, but the captain curls his effort over.

35

Unlucky! Daniel Sturridge takes charge of a free-kick on an angle from the right and whips a fierce shot against the crossbar and away.

34

Yellow Card

Daley Blind goes into the book.

32

Goal

The Reds fall behind at Old Trafford as Anthony Martial sends Simon Mignolet the wrong way from 12 yards.

31

Penalty

Penalty to Manchester United - Nathaniel Clyne fouls Anthony Martial

28

He was in sensational form a week ago and David de Gea has produced another brilliant save to keep Liverpool out, springing to his left to deny Philippe Coutinho's low blast from the edge of the box.

22

The Red Devils are much brighter so far this evening than they were last Thursday and now Anthony Martial fires off target after moving into space to shoot from the left flank.

18

Chance for United as Jesse Lingard is free to head goalwards, but Simon Mignolet is equal to it and punches away the danger.

14

Great recovery defending by Nathaniel Clyne inside the area as the Reds overplayed and the home side threatened to break in behind.
