We start with a day to remember for King Kenny as his Blackburn Rovers side pipped Manchester United to the league title, despite succumbing to the Reds at Anfield.
Dalglish’s team took the lead after 20 minutes courtesy of Alan Shearer’s 37th goal of the season.
However, the Reds replied after the hour mark through John Barnes - and the atmosphere suddenly changed around Anfield.
Incredibly, Liverpool had seemingly ruined the visitor’s title hopes when Jamie Redknapp netted a quite magnificent free-kick in injury time to secure the three points.
But, within seconds, the news filtered through that United had failed to beat West Ham, handing Kenny’s Blackburn the title.
That revelation sparked celebrations from both sets of supporters, with the Anfield faithful happy that their rivals had been thwarted at the hands of their prodigal son.
