Full Time

West Brom 1-1 Liverpool

The Reds' Barclays Premier League season ends with a point at the Hawthorns, with neither side able to strike again in the second half.

Jürgen Klopp's men finish eighth.

90

In the first minute of stoppage-time, Smith whips an inviting cross over from the left but no teammate can reach the ball as it fizzes past.

86

The Reds squander an opening as Benteke rides a tackle and powers down the right flank. He has a pass on to a free Henderson inside the box but dwells too long to deliver and the chance is gone.

85

Substitution

West Brom introduce Field for McClean.

80

Substitution

Another notable substitution as Sergi Canos gets a senior Liverpool debut, on for Sheyi Ojo.

74

Yellow Card

Roberts is quickly booked for a foul on Henderson.

71

Substitution

Roberts replaces Leko.

A great sight...

66

How hasn't Rondon scored again here? Another West Brom delivery falls to the unmarked forward at the back post, but his poked finish in the opposite direction misses the target.

64

Substitution

What a moment for Danny Ings, who returns to action after seven months out, replacing Jordon Ibe.

And Jordan Henderson is also back, on for Joe Allen.

63

So with around half an hour of the Barclays Premier League season remaining, current scores mean the Reds are set to finish eighth in the table. Will there be any late changes?

62

Another chance for Rondon as the Baggies lash a ball across the box. He gets a slight touch with his head but nowhere near enough to redirect goalwards.

58

At the other end, McClean moves in from the left hand side and sizes up a shot from 20 yards - over.

56

The Reds launch a counter-attack as Lucas carries the ball out from the back and Benteke sends the ball to Ojo on the left. It's a narrow angle for the No.54 and the eventual hit is no concern to Foster.

46

Close to a second for West Brom. A set-piece delivery from the right is glanced on by Rondon but it strikes the far post and bounces out. The striker is there again but skews the rebound off target. A let-off for Liverpool.

Kick-Off

And it's the Reds who get the match underway again.

46

Substitution

Chester is on for Olsson for the second half.

Half Time

West Brom 1-1 Liverpool

It's all square after 45 minutes at the Hawthorns, with Rondon and Ibe on target with well-taken goals for either team in the first half.

45

Yellow Card

McClean cautioned for a rash tackle on Flanagan.

45

The Reds win a free-kick in a really promising position, central at the edge of the area. Benteke takes control and his low attempt is blocked by the wall.

40

Yellow Card

Smith is booked for what the referee decides was a dive by the wide-man. That seemed harsh as Olsson did stick out a leg as the Australian burst forward.

35

Ojo threatens to break clear at the edge of the area but a robust challenge by Yacob takes the man and the ball, and West Brom begin to build again themselves.

31

The Reds are more settled in the game now and Allen tries his luck from range after pushing forward from the centre - the effort bounces wide.

23

Goal

GOAL!! Ibe!!

Now the Reds are level and what a sublime piece of play. Ibe rolls around his marker at the halfway line, scampers along the right flank, moves into the area and places a finish into the bottom corner. Excellent stuff.

22

Unlucky, Brannagan. The young midfielder shuffles around a series of West Brom defenders and senses an opportunity to shoot - the side-footer is a comfortable low take for the goalkeeper, though.

The floral tribute to the 96 victims of the Hillsborough tragedy laid in front of the away fans by former Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert and West Brom captain Darren Fletcher shortly before kick-off.

16

Benteke has half a chance to provide a rapid response, though it is at an awkward angle on the left channel and his drive goes wide of the goal.

13

Goal

Goal for West Brom - Rondon.

The home side take an early lead as Leko dribbles into dangerous territory and slips a pass into the striker, who makes no mistake with a clinical blast beyond Bogdan for the opener.

3

Smith seeks to tee up Benteke with a smart cross into the middle from the left, but Olsson is there ahead of the No.9 to clear away the danger.

Kick-Off

The Baggies get us underway at the Hawthorns. Come on, Reds!

West Brom honour the 96

Part of the hosts' plans to honour the 96 victims of the Hillsborough tragedy, and their families, today sees 96 seats changed from blue to red and left unoccupied in the away section at the Hawthorns. Each will carry the name of a fan who lost their life as a result of the events on April 15, 1989.
