It was a good night for Emre Can as Germany warmed up for Euro 2016 with a 2-0 win over Hungary on Saturday.

The Liverpool star entered the field as a second-half replacement for Jonas Hector and put in an impressive display in the friendly encounter in Gelsenkirchen

An own goal from Adam Lang and a strike from Thomas Muller secured the victory for Joachim Low’s charges.

Martin Skrtel played the full 90 minutes as Slovakia were held to a goalless draw by Northern Ireland in Trnava.

Brad Smith was also a man in good form as he played the opening 82 minutes as Australia beat Greece 1-0 in Sydney, thanks to  a stoppage time winner from Matthew Leckie.
