2009-10: Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool
It was a bad start to 2009-10 for Rafael Benitez's Liverpool as they lost 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto fired the home side into the lead with a brilliant effort and, although Steven Gerrard levelled from the penalty spot, Sebastien Bassong grabbed the winner.
