Liverpool's 2-0 victory at home to Sunderland consolidated second place in the Premier League as the Reds reached 900 goals in the division at Anfield.

Jürgen Klopp’s side fought diligently for the win, which was eventually secured courtesy of late strikes from Divock Origi and James Milner (penalty) at the Kop end.

The successful conversion from 12 yards by the vice-captain increased Liverpool’s home tally in the Premier League era to 900 and ensured the hosts remain a point behind pace-setters Chelsea.
