Jordan Henderson has enjoyed a successful transition to playing in the No.6 role for Liverpool this season.

And Molby believes the Reds captain has every quality required to take on the specific requirements of that job in a Jürgen Klopp team.

"Jordan Henderson is very important, I think he’s one of those players that is probably more appreciated when he’s not there. It comes back to the way that we want to play. Most teams play with a midfield three, and in that, a lot of teams want to have a deep-lying midfield player like a playmaker.

"Klopp doesn’t; he wants the furthest back midfield player to be mobile and still to be involved and that’s why Henderson is so great. He covers every blade of grass, he’s close to the action at all times and that is his strength. He’s not a Xabi Alonso who sits back and pings 50-60 yard passes, he’s much more in the action."
