One of the most important figures in the history of Liverpool Football Club celebrates his 66th birthday today.

Kenny Dalglish, the man known simply as 'The King' by Reds fans, was born on March 4, 1951.

He first arrived at Anfield 26 years later, heralding the beginning of an affiliation with the club that would involve more than a decade's playing service, two spells as manager and a lifetime of unyielding loyalty.
