5. Robbie Fowler
Toxteth-born Academy graduate Robbie Fowler made a goalscoring debut as a fresh-faced teenager in September 1993 and went on to establish himself as one of the most lethal and revered strikers in Liverpool's history.
Given his bow against Fulham by manager Graeme Souness, Fowler was one of four changes made to a Liverpool side that had lost the Merseyside derby four days earlier.
The youngster made goals for Ian Rush and Nigel Clough before firing in a superb half-volley to complete the scoring and steal the headlines in a 3-0 League Cup second round first-leg win at Craven Cottage.
In the return leg he would score all five goals in 5-0 win at Anfield. A star was born.
Fowler reached 100 goals quicker than mentor Ian Rush and won the treble of League Cup, FA Cup and UEFA Cup in 2001 as his Kop legend burgeoned.
Over two stints with the Liverpool, he scored 183 goal in 369 games to rank sixth in the club's all-time top goalscorers list.
