Jürgen Klopp was appointed Liverpool manager on this day in 2015.

After seven-year spells with both FSV Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, the German took on a new challenge in the Premier League with the Reds.

Klopp was officially confirmed as the club's new boss on October 8, 2015 and took charge of his first game nine days later.

Three years and 166 matches on, he has taken his side to three major finals and made an unbeaten start to the new league campaign.
