Jürgen Klopp is confident Roberto Firmino will be available for Saturday's Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

The forward missed Liverpool’s last three matches against Newcastle United, FC Barcelona and Wolverhampton Wanderers due to a muscle issue, but returned to training during the Marbella camp last week.

The Reds will continue to err on the side of caution with Firmino’s fitness ahead of this weekend’s Madrid showpiece, but Klopp is optimistic he will be able to call upon his services for the clash.

“Bobby trained, was part of training last week and looked really good, everything was fine. Then we took him out again. He will be in training from tomorrow on again,” the manager explained at a media day on Tuesday.

“All that we saw so far looked really good and he will be fine, I’m pretty sure.”

Naby Keita will not be fit to feature against Spurs, however.

“[There is] no chance for Naby,” added Klopp. “He is really progressing well, we will see how it will work out for him for the Africa Cup of Nations. We don’t know that yet.”
