Four Reds set to return to Melwood on Saturday
Liverpool will welcome four more senior players back to Melwood on Saturday morning to begin pre-season training.
Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georginio Wijnaldum and Virgil van Dijk are all set to report for testing following the summer break, having been afforded extended time off due to international commitments.
The Reds began preparations for 2019-20 last Saturday morning, with 16 players reconvening at the club’s training base.
They’ve since been joined by Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri, Dejan Lovren, Naby Keita and Simon Mignolet.
Jürgen Klopp’s side take on Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park tonight.
The summer schedule continues on Sunday when Liverpool face Bradford City at Valley Parade before they depart for the United States next week.
