Team news: Confirmed Liverpool line-up v Sporting CP
Joel Matip returns to Liverpool’s defence for the Western Union Cup clash with Sporting CP in New York this evening.
The defender did not figure against Sevilla at Fenway Park on Sunday, but is named alongside Virgil van Dijk in the Reds’ back four.
Elsewhere, Adam Lallana is back in the squad after recovering from a dead leg to take a place on the bench, as is Sepp van den Berg having received FIFA clearance.
