Takumi Minamino will wear the No.18 shirt for Liverpool.
The Japan international is set to join the club on January 1, 2020 after an agreement was reached with Red Bull Salzburg and the 24-year-old completed a medical and penned a long-term contract at Melwood.
And the new man’s number has been confirmed, with a range of special products now available via LFC Retail to mark the signing, including ‘Minamino – 18’ jerseys.
The No.18 was vacated by Alberto Moreno last summer and has also been worn by the likes of Dirk Kuyt and John Arne Riise for the Reds in recent years.
