Kuyt: I'm in the form of my life
Dirk Kuyt believes his recent hot-streak represents the best form of his Liverpool career so far.
The Holland international has fired eight goals in his last seven league outings and has now totalled 14 in all competitions for the Reds this season.
Another strike in tonight's clash at Fulham would see him equal his best tally in a red shirt and he admits he is full of confidence ahead of the trip to Craven Cottage.
Kuyt told Liverpoolfc.tv: "It could be my best (form) since I came to Liverpool. I scored a lot of goals in Holland and sometimes I had a good streak like that but things are much more difficult in the Premier League, so I am very happy with my form and hopefully I can keep it going in the next couple of games.
"I'm feeling really well. I am confident. In the first part of the season I had some problems with my ankle and my shoulder and that was a difficult time. But in the last couple of months I have felt very lively and the games have been going very well for us - we are winning a number of games in a row.
"Our confidence is growing and I'm enjoying it."
The Reds travel to London eager to maintain their push for a Europa League berth after Spurs failed to beat Blackpool on Saturday evening.
Kuyt feels the result has enhanced Liverpool's hopes and is delighted they are now in charge of their own destiny.
"Things are in our own hands now," he said.
"We play Spurs at home in a week's time and if we win all of our games we will qualify for Europe. So we've gone from a really bad position to a terrific one. We just have to focus on Monday's game though and look to beat Fulham.
"They are playing very well. There is not one team in the Premier League that is easy to beat. You have to earn the three points and we will be 100 per cent focused on winning the game. It's really important for us. Let's keep going, make it a great game and hopefully at the end of the 90 minutes we will have the three points.
"We have to win to get fifth in the league. Our away form hasn't been the best this season so we want to prove that we can compete on our travels. We've had great results against the big teams like City, United and away at Arsenal. Now we have to do it against Fulham."
