Aston Villa fan James Laishley provides the view from the opposition ahead of Sunday's final game encounter.

Villa are under no pressure and have nothing to play for - a good or a bad thing for us?

Well it's probably a good thing for Liverpool. They always say that you want to be playing mid-table teams at this point in the season as they have nothing to play for but pride. However, we did play with a freedom last week and toppled Arsenal at the Emirates, so I wouldn't count us out just yet.

Gerard Houllier - should he stay or should he go?

He should go. For his own good to be honest. It seems as though the stress of management has contributed to another heart attack and I think he'll find it hard to recover. From a fan's perspective I don't think he was ever the right choice for Villa.

Highs and lows of the season?

There really haven't been many highs. We got a couple of big results over West Ham and Blackburn and we did well to draw with Chelsea but the Arsenal win was probably my favourite. Signing Darren Bent was also huge for us and having scored nine in 15 he's living up to expectations. There have been plenty of low moments. Newcastle scoring six past us stands out, as well as the cup defeat to Birmingham. Dropping two goals to United in the last 10 minutes was also a low moment.

Hopes for the summer?

We need a pretty big clearout. Our back four has looked shaky all season which was unexpected considering how great Dunne and Collins were last year. Friedel has been good but maybe we need to look into a replacement in goal. I'm sure we'll need at least one (replacement) winger and a decent centre midfielder would be nice too.

Can you keep Ashley Young?

No, I think he's made up his mind and he's going. Him and Downing have balanced out the team perfectly this year and there aren't many players out there who would do the same job (maybe a Shaun Wright-Phillips). Obviously I'd rather he stayed but maybe it'll give Marc Albrighton a regular run in the team which isn't a bad thing as he's showed a lot of potential when he has played.

How will Villa play it on Sunday?

My guess is a 4-3-3. We'll play very wide with Ashley Young and Downing on the wings supporting Bent. Luke Young and Kyle Walker will play full-back and get forward when they can. We've got nothing to lose so hopefully we'll be attacking from the outset.

Weaknesses we could exploit?

Our centre-backs aren't really quick enough and their problems with management probably haven't helped their enthusiasm. Although Liverpool aren't too pacy a team I think having one or two strikers playing on the shoulder of our defenders could cause some real problems.

Players you are worried about on either side?

Suarez has been a really good pick up for Liverpool and could cause our back four a lot of problems. The same with Kuyt. Dalglish has got him scoring again and knowing how hard he works, he could give our centre-backs a hard time too.

Who will go down?

I can't see Blackpool getting anything more than a point at United which should send them down. The other team is a little harder to pick but I'll go with Wigan. I think Birmingham will lose against Spurs but stay up because of Wigan not being able to get anything either.

Prediction for our game?

Two all. Two goals from Bent, one from Suarez and one from Kuyt.
