Reds to host La Liga giants
Liverpool will conclude their preparations for the 2011-12 season with a friendly against La Liga side Valencia at Anfield on Saturday, August 6.
The mouth-watering encounter takes place a week before the Barclays Premier League calendar kicks off and will be an opportunity for many fans to see any new signings live for the first time.
Valencia finished third in La Liga last season behind Real Madrid and champions Barcelona and are sure to make it a testing 90 minutes for the Reds, who will be hoping to round off their pre-season with a morale-boosting victory to take into the big kick-off the following weekend.
The friendly is one of four announced so far, the others being Guangdong Sunray Cave on July 13, Malaysia XI on July 16 and Valerenga on August 1.
