'It's not about personal glory'
Luis Suarez insists that realising Uruguay's dream of Copa America glory is his priority - not topping the goal charts.
The Reds No.7 is currently joint leading scorer at the tournament after his brace in the semi-final triumph against Peru took his tally to three in total.
However, he remains adamant that victory over Paraguay in Sunday's final is his sole focus.
"Being top scorer is not the important thing for me," said Suarez. "The main issue is the collective dream of winning the Copa.
"Personal stuff is secondary to that."
Uruguay will be targeting a record 15th title when they lock horns with Los Guaraníes.
Suarez believes they must forget about previous triumphs and feels their recent success on the international scene is down to the groundwork that has been implemented at grassroots level.
"We'll not forget about those titles (but) we are thinking about the present, about carrying on winning. Uruguay are not going to waste time celebrating past achievements and past titles won," said Suarez.
He continued: "The U20 team has been doing well, qualifying for the London Olympics, while the U17 side were runners-up at their World Championship and we were fourth at the World Cup in South Africa. Now we are in the final of the Copa."
