Liverpool Ladies kick off their 2016 Women's Super League season tonight as they host Birmingham at the Select Security Stadium in Widnes and they would love your support.

The game gets underway at 7.30pm GMT and admission is just £5 for adults and £2.50 for children under 16 and concessions.

Scott Rogers' new-look team started their campaign with a 2-0 defeat against Manchester City in the Women's FA Cup fifth round on Saturday, and they will be hoping to bounce back this evening.

Looking ahead to the clash, Rogers told Liverpoolfc.com: "Everyone seems to have written ourselves and Birmingham off before a ball is even kicked and so we are both in the same boat in that regard.

"Make no mistake, Birmingham are a very strong team. They are very physical and technically they have some very good players. You have to be up for the battle when you play Birmingham.

"It's a tough start for us but it could have been any team we played first, and as the old saying goes there are no easy games in this league.

"We finished second from bottom in the league last season, which wasn't good enough. We've revamped the squad and when you bring in so many new players it does take them time to settle in and gel together, so a key word for us is patience."
