Ladies suffer last-minute cup heartache
There was disappointment for Liverpool Ladies as they lost 1-0 away at Birmingham in the quarter-finals of the Continental Cup on Sunday after extra-time.
With 120 minutes up and penalties looming, the home side scored with the last kick of the game when Coral Haines pounced to net the winner.
Liverpool Ladies played well and both Natasha Harding and Emma Lundh had efforts cleared off the line, but luck just wasn't on Scott Rogers' side on the day.
