Liverpool Ladies goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain will be on the guest panel at this year’s Soccerex Global Convention in Manchester.

The England international is to appear on Tuesday September 27, day two of the three-day event, to discuss social media and the women’s game alongside Alex Trickett, global sports chair and head of UK sport at Twitter.

Soccerex will see a wide range of people associated with football and sport talking about their experiences, including ex-Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier, who will be discussing the success of football academies.

On being invited to appear on the panel, LLFC digital ambassador Chamberlain said: “It is a real privilege and honour to have been asked to appear as a guest speaker at the Soccerex Global Convention.

“Social media plays a massive part in promoting a variety of different things, including women’s football, and is something I am really excited to be involved with.

“99 per cent of players now have some form of social media in order to help promote their personal endorsements or to promote their respective club, which shows how much social media has grown and developed over the last few years."
