Liverpool Ladies have completed the signing of England international defender Amy Turner.

Turner, 25, joins the Reds as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the FA WSL Spring Series.

Versatile defender Turner has previously played for the likes of Notts County Ladies, Leeds United Ladies and Doncaster Rovers Belles.

On completing her switch to Liverpool, she said: “This is a fantastic move for me and I’m really excited to join up with the squad. The girls have proven so far in the FA WSL Spring Series what massive potential the team has, so hopefully I am able to make the squad even stronger.

“Liverpool Ladies are a team with big ambitions and I am confident that we can have a successful end to the FA WSL Spring Series before the full season starts in September.”

Ladies manager Scott Rogers commented: “Amy is a versatile defender who is equally comfortable at full-back or as a central defender so this is another great signing for the club. Amy is also proven in the FA WSL so I am thrilled to have signed her as we prepare for the 2017-18 season.

“A number of clubs showed a big interest in Amy so I am absolutely delighted that she has chosen to commit her future to Liverpool Ladies.”
