Despite that loss, Scott Rogers' team remain one point above the fourth-placed Gunners.

View from the manager, Scott Rogers

"It was a frustrating game against Arsenal in midweek but they took their chances and we didn't.

"We had a much-changed side due to injuries and I thought Becky Flaherty, who came in for our goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain, was fantastic.

"We have a tough game ahead against Manchester City next up and all our focus is on giving our best and showing what we are made of. Hopefully we'll get a bit more luck than we did against Arsenal."
