Mirror: Reds could make Delph move
Aston Villa will sell Fabian Delph this month - but only if they get £4million.
Tottenham and Liverpool are keen on the England midfielder who is out of contract at the end of the season and has refused a new deal at Villa Park.
So despite their Premier League relegation battle, Villa are now ready to sell the player in the mid-season window in order to avoid Delph leaving on a free in the summer.
Spurs are not believed to be willing to meet Delph's £60,000-a-week wage demands but may revisit the possibility in the final days of the window, especially if they manage to off-load more players from their wage bill.
Liverpool, who see Delph as a potential replacement for Steven Gerrard, are more likely to come up with a sufficient wage deal but the player will keep his options as he is believed to fancy the prospect of a move to White Hart Lane.
Villa have strengthened their midfield with the signing of Carles Gil from Valencia and have reluctantly decided that Delph can go during the remaining ten days of the current window.
