Metro: Reds eye Lyon ace
Liverpool target Alexandre Lacazette can develop into a 'world-class' striker according to ex-Reds boss Gerard Houllier.
Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen on the Lyon hitman after watching him soar to the top of the Ligue 1 scoring charts this term with 21 goals.
Houllier, who managed the Reds from 1998-2004, thinks that his former club are doing the right thing by chasing the highly-rated France international.
He told Ligue1's official website: "He's top of the Premier League in France, I mean Ligue 1, but he's not international [class] yet and he knows that.
"But he can be world class if he keeps progressing and working on his talent. I was told he's a very dedicated professional. So if he looks after himself and if he does the right thing, he can become really top notch really.
"He can become very good. At the moment he's flirting with the international level, but he's not a top international yet."
Lacazette is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but his goals have helped fire OL to the top of Ligue 1 this term, and a bid from Anfield could be forthcoming this summer.
