'Rodgers wants Madrid ace'
Liverpool are in talks with Real Madrid to complete the transfer of Denis Cheryshev after Brendan Rodgers demanded his club to sign the winger, according to reports.
The Russian star has caught the attention of several clubs this summer after an impressive display on loan at Villarreal last season,
Arsenal are said to be very interested in the 24-year-old but reports in Spain say Liverpool are working hard to secure his signature in a deal worth around £14.2million.
Despite enjoying a productive transfer window Brendan Rodgers remains on the market and has apparently told his board to make the switch to Merseyside happen.
