Liverpool are reportedly considering making an offer for Schalke full-back Sead Kolasinac as the transfer window draws to a close.

Brendan Rodgers is eager to add to his defensive options and looks set to lodge a bid for Kolasinac.

Italian news outlet Tutto Mercato claim the Merseyside outfit have already made an enquiry over Kolasinac and will consider making an official approach in the next few days.

The report claims that Liverpool will face competition for the 22-year-old defender as Arsenal are also keeping tabs on his development.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has earned five caps for the national side and still has two years remaining on his deal with the Bundesliga outfit.
