Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is eying a late £10m swoop for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski, according to reports.

The Polish star has not featured in new Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel's plans so far into the new Bundesliga campaign as Real Betis also show an interest.

According to talkSPORT, Liverpool have the upper-hand, however, as they will be able to improve the 29-year-old's £1.8m-a-year wage package with the German club.

Blaszczykowski is understood to be frustrated with his lack of opportunities at the Westfalenstadion and is considering his options in light of the recent interest in securing his services.
