Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello insists he is happy at his current club despite rumoured transfer interest from Liverpool.

The Reds are one of many clubs to be linked with the towering 23-year-old, who has impressed in Serie A in recent times after coming through his club’s youth system.

"Last summer one day they had me joining Ajax, another day Stoke City, then Stuttgart and Roma and even Liverpool. But I was always certain I would stay, it was right thing to do since I need to confirm what I did last season," he said.

However, despite feeling at home where he is, the Italian hinted he could be open to a change at some point in the future.

"I feel at home in Bergamo. I’ve worn this jersey for seven years and arriving in Serie A was fantastic. We’ll see what happens in the future," he added.
