Joel Matip to join Liverpool at the end of the season
Schalke are set to announce that defender Joel Matip will join Liverpool at the end of the season, according to Sky sources.
The German club are set to announce the details of the transfer, which will be on a free transfer, this afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp's side were reportedly linked with the 24-year-old during the January transfer window, but now look set to complete a summer deal for the defender.
Matip came through the youth setup at Schalke and has made 27 appearances for the Cameroon national side.
