Liverpool and Manchester United target Yuto Nagatomo is set to start fresh talks with Inter Milan regarding a new contract at the San Siro.

Both Premier League sides have been linked with the Japanese defender over the past 12 months and he even claimed he turned down a January offer to join United.

The left-back is out of contract at Inter in the summer so has been free to speak to other clubs ahead of June, when he can leave the club for nothing.

However, his agent Federico Pastorello has told fcinter1908 that Nagatomo has no intention of leaving and discussions regarding a new deal will kick off shortly.

Pastorello said: "He wants to stay in Italy, more precisely with Inter.

"We don't have any meetings scheduled and there is no news right now, but I think there will be something very soon."
