Trio set to battle for Napoli star
Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
According to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentina international is keen to leave the Serie A club at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has been in negotiations to improve his current deal - which expires in 2018 - but club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is now ready to cash in.
Higuain's relationship with the Napoli hierarchy have reportedly soured since the club refused to budge on their asking price for him last summer.
Football Italia claim Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, as well as Paris Saint-Germain, are all keen on a move for the former Real Madrid hitman.
The European heavyweights will have to trigger Higuain's hefty £77million release clause if they are to sign him, but he has proved his worth with 24 goals in 24 league outings this term.
Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri recently admitted that he expects many offers for Higuain in the summer, saying: "I do not read the rumours but I think there will be even more offers."
