Reds to battle Juventus for World Cup hero
Liverpool and Juventus will go toe to toe for the signature of Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze this summer.
The playmaker is apparently ready to leave the German champions in search of regular first-team football.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp brought the 23-year-old through the ranks at Borussia Dortmund and is keen to work with him again.
However, according to Tuttosport, the Reds face strong competition from Juventus.
The Serie A side have been tracking Gotze since January and are ready to offer around £30m for his services.
Juventus are wary that they may lose Paul Pogba this summer and as a result are already lining up replacements.
