Mario Gotze tipped to join Klopp at Liverpool this summer
Mario Gotze could be set for a reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool this summer.
Gotze is a target for Reds boss Klopp, who managed the 23-year-old at Borussia Dortmund before his £30million move to Bayern Munich in 2013.
Express Sport understands Gotze, who has just over a year remaining on his Bayern contract, is on Klopp's wishlist.
The German tactician is expected to be given funds to overhaul Liverpool's squad again.
And for Norway international Jan Age Fjortoft, who since retiring has become a pundit and transfer specialist, has fuelled talk of Gotze to Anfield.
Bayern boss Pep Guardiola will take over at Manchester City this summer and there has been suggestions Gotze could also leave the Allianz Arena when his manager moves on.
"Guardiola changed his team on 4 positions today," Fjortoft said after Bayern's 1-0 win at Cologne on Saturday, where Gotze was an unused substitute.
"Mario Gotze still on the bench 90 mins for Bayern. Hello England! Be prepared.
He added: "Klopp is Gotze's 'father'.
"Hey son! I will make you great and happy again. Join me at Anfield."
