Liverpool send scouts to watch international striker
Liverpool have set their sights on Union Berlin striker Bobby Wood, according to reports.
Wood has been turning heads in the German second division and is currently on international duty with the USA ahead of their friendly with Guatemala on Saturday.
The Hawaiian-born forward was a product of Munich's youth team and moved to Berlin last summer where he has been in fine form, scoring 14 times in 25 league appearances.
German newspaper Berlin Kurier claim Jurgen Klopp is keen on the 23-year-old and sent Liverpool scouts to run the rule over him.
And according to his teammate Damir Kreilach, he's not surprised the young American is attracting interest from top clubs.
"When you're playing well and making many goals then other teams notice and you get offers," he said.
"He has not been here very long but he has done a lot for the club and shown what he can do when he is in top form and feels comfortable.
"He is actually a top-flight player - he's quick, a goal threat, has good sense and is strong in dribbling.
"He is a great guy and he is certainly on the way up."
