Hector drops Liverpool hint
Germany defender Jonas Hector has suggested he could be tempted to leave FC Koln for Liverpool.
Widespread newspaper reports have linked Reds manager Jurgen Klopp with a summer move for Hector, who has impressed this season in the Bundesliga, making 28 appearances for ninth-placed Koln.
Hector has two years remaining on his contract at Koln and despite revealing he is content to stay at the club, the 25-year-old admitted a call from Klopp could change his mind about remaining in Germany.
"You always have to consider whether you are ready to take the next step. But at the moment I am not thinking about it," he told Eurosport.
"I think what we have to do at FC Koln is enough. I also have with the national team a big tournament ahead of us."
But when asked if a call from Klopp could persuade him, he replied: "Then I would start to think about it."
Hector is expected to be included in Joachim Low's Germany squad for the 2016 European Championship in France and he could feature in the upcoming friendly matches against England and Italy.
He added: "For me, these meetings are good tests against strong teams. I am looking forward to the two matches in Berlin and Munich."
