Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi is reportedly being lined up for a summer swoop from Tottenham.

The tricky dribbler has been a consistent figure in Frank de Boer’s side for two seasons now, having made 22 Eredivisie appearances so far this term.

A big future in Holland is Ajax’s hope for El Ghazi, although interest has raised across Europe.

The 20-year-old forward’s short career has already seen him earn two senior Holland caps as his profile and potential continues to grow.

And according to the Mirror, Premier League title-chasers Tottenham have joined the race for his signature.

Mauricio Pochettino has a long-term project in effect at White Hart Lane and is looking to take the pressure off lone striker Harry Kane with more firepower.

El Ghazi has 10 league goals and two assists for Ajax this season, showing the kind of form that had Liverpool and Manchester United both intrigued during the January transfer window.

Ajax managed to rebuff interest then, but summer approaches are expected for their hot prospect, and Tottenham are apparently ready to make a move.

The report claims the Dutch club value El Ghazi at £12million, and with Spurs set to secure Champions League football, the proposal may be too good to refuse for the young attacker.

However, while Liverpool and United may both go back in for the star at the end of the season, Italian giants AC Milan will reportedly raise their own interest in El Ghazi too.
