Reds target reveals why he turned down PSG
Arsenal and Liverpool target Raphael Guerreiro has revealed he snubbed an offer from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
The left-back, 22, has been tipped for a bright future and is wanted by several clubs from around Europe.
Arsenal and Liverpool are among those interested in the Portugal international, with the Gunners considering shipping out Kieran Gibbs this summer.
And now Guerreiro has revealed the level of interest in his services by confessing he snubbed an offer from PSG last year.
"There were contacts between the presidents and with my agent last summer," Guerreiro told Le Parisien.
"But I made it clear that it was not an option that interested me. For the good of my career, I figured that it would be better to have a complete season with Lorient rather than to be a substitute at PSG.
"Even if you do progress when you are in contact with great players, I gave playing time greater importance."
