Zielinski wants Liverpool deal
Piotr Zielinski will reject Napoli’s advances and try to reach an agreement with Liverpool, according to reports.
Zielinski signed his first professional contract with Udinese but joined Empoli in 2014 on a two-year loan deal.
The 22-year-old has since become a crucial part of the Serie A side, racking up 66 appearances in all competitions.
Express Sport understands Jurgen Klopp has been a fan of Zielinski for some time and considered making a move for him in January.
However, the German boss wanted longer to assess the player’s suitability and delayed negotiations until the summer.
But now Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri claims Zielinski has made a decision about his future.
The Reds had initially been expected to seal the deal some weeks ago for around £10million.
Zielinski was even spotted holding a Liverpool shirt last month but no transfer has been announced.
And with the deal apparently stalling, Napoli emerged as potential suitors for the Polish international.
However, the attacking midfielder is now said to be ready to reject the Serie A side in order to move to the Premier League.
