Reds see £7m bid for Ben Chilwell rejected
Liverpool have had a £7million bid rejected for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.
The Reds tabled an offer of £5million plus £2million in add-ons for the England Under-21s international.
However, the Premier League champions value the young defender at £10million and insist he's going nowhere unless that figure is met.
Liverpool are now considering whether to up their offer for a defender who only has one year remaining on his current contract or focus their attention on alternative options.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in Chilwell to compete with Alberto Moreno for the left-back spot.
The 19-year-old is a product of the Leicester City Academy but has yet to make his Premier League debut.
Chilwell's three senior appearances for the Foxes all came in the domestic cup competitions last season.
He also enjoyed a loan spell at Huddersfield Town, whose manager David Wagner is a close friend of Klopp and provided him with a ringing endorsement of the teenager's qualities.
