Newcastle set price for top Reds target
Newcastle have placed a £35million price tag on Moussa Sissoko following his Euro 2016 heroics.
The midfielder has already said he wants to leave Newcastle this summer following their relegation from the Premier League, but the North East club would prefer to keep hold of the 26-year-old.
He has three years left remaining on his contract, leaving them in control of negotiations, and they will insist on a club record equalling transfer fee from anyone who wants to sign him.
Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are all reportedly interested in prising him away from the Championship side.
Sissoko will sit down with his representatives after reaching the final of Euro 2016 with France and work out their options. He started in the final, which they lost to Portugal on Sunday night.
Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez wants Sissoko to stay and made the player captain in the remaining few games of last season.
But Sissoko has already made his international intentions to leave clear: "I gave everything there for three-and-a-half years," he said last month.
"I hope that [Newcastle] will be smart enough to understand that to continue my development I need to keep playing at the highest level.
"As I want to stay in the France team I could not stay in the Championship. There will be discussions. I hope they will go in my opinion. I want to leave."
